This is part of the coffee setup I keep at work. I like the pour-over filter, it’s fun for people to watch, easier to clean than a French press, and less awkward than straining over an Aeropress imagining what might happen if your mug decided to shatter underneath you. I can’t really recommend the Kalita hand mill though; it’s not very easy to adjust the grind with any precision. It is more consistent than a blade grinder, but still not that great. I’m waiting to get my hands on a Hario ceramic hand mill that has a better design.

Do you have any idea where I can pick up a decent espresso machine under a million won? I think you probably know better about what I am looking for. Something along the lines of a Silvia… I have seen them on G-market for 1.2 mil and it almost made me order one from Italy and get it sent over here…
I like the set up! Where did you get the pot from? I picked up one with a similar spout for 15,000 won but I like the slender design of yours.

I haven’t seen the Silvia or anything worthwhile for under 1 mil, I think it would be cheaper to order it from overseas honestly. I want to buy a Silvia and a Vario, but I’m not sure I want to deal with re-shipping it when I eventually move =\ Though I guess you could possibly re-sell it used and make a profit here…hmm, that’s a thought haha.
These are the only dedicated coffee supply sites I’ve got bookmarked.. I’ve never ordered from them so I don’t know if they’re good or not.

I got that drip pot as a gift, it’s made by Kalita I think, but honestly I’ve got my eye on either the Melitta pot or the replica Takahiro some of those sites are selling.

Thanks! I thought that was probably the case. I found one Korean guy that bought the Silvia from Europe and then imported it. That is a great idea about reselling it! Thanks for the info!

Yeah I took the picture at home during vacation that’s why it’s different haha :)
We’re going to start having a teacher’s English class calling it “Coffee Break” … I think I’m going to bring a Siphon brewer to make it more fun (for me…) haha.
