Fresh Ground is a blog for global nomads and kindred cosmopolitans. Plan your own trip, or follow along with my guides to cafes and reviews of the world's best coffee in Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond.
Picking up from last week, a new feature at FRSHGRND highlighting some music to brew to every sunday. If you missed it, read here for the full story behind music to brew to.
Thanks for this weeks inspiration, Candus! An ecclectic mix of ’70s and early ’80s goodness. May all your brews be groovy & virtuosic.
Alan Parsons Project- The Raven
Pat Metheney, Jaco Pastorius, Bob Moses – Continuum 1974 Live
Muchas Gracias!! I forgot about Alan Parsons! Back in the early 70s, I’d listen to FM radio at night, specifically after midnight – I learned DJs would play new stuff and music selections that weren’t popular daytime sounds. That’s when I first heard the likes of Chic Corea, Alan Parsons, and others. Thanks, Aaron, for choosing these clips and posting memories!
