UPDATE: apparently this location has already closed!
During the holidays I made a pit-stop to catch up with a friend at the new Herald Square Intelligentsia. This is Intelli’s latest foray into New York’s coffee scene, following their earlier debut with a coffee bar in the Highline Hotel’s lobby. Apparently continuing on this cautious route, their Herald Square location is also a partnership, located in a large mixed-use space inside a huge Urban Outfitters.
Located near the Empire State Building and the original Macy’s, the cafe is designed for volume, but there’re stools around the edges of the store, and lots of marble to rest your drinks on. There’re also old-timey windows that offer good people watching with a wide vantage into Urban Outfitters. This location also has pretty delicious sandwiches and other take-away items.

Broadway and 36th? I’m making my way out into the city tomorrow. Good thing UO is smacked there next to it. Looks trendy in that ol’ factory kinda way. Be dope for sure!
