Claire and I will be heading to Los Angeles for Christmas and New Years! We’re looking forward to kicking it with some old friends and spending some quality time with the family. One week is hardly enough time to do everything and see everybody, but it’s better than nothing. I personally can’t wait to order half the menu @ Tony’s Mexican Grill. Good Mexican food is hard to come by in Seoul.
We’re also going to try to hit around a dozen cafes while we’re there to make sure we represent the burgeoning LA coffee scene on this site. Here’s a short list of my favorites we’re definitely going to visit:
LA MILL – Silverlake
Intelli – Venice and Silverlake
Caffe Luxxe – Santa Monica
Lot 44 – Downtown
Aroma Coffee & Tea – Studio City
And a few that I haven’t been to that we might check out:
Espresso Profeta – Westwood
Kean Coffee – Orange County
Neighborhood Grinds – Redondo Beach
Spring for Coffee – Downtown
Am I missing anything worth visiting? If you think so, hit up the comments. This is the last time I’ll be in LA for quite some time and I want to make the most of it!

What about Urth Caffe? That’s my favorite coffee spot when I’m in LA. And I’ve been to Caffe Luxxe; all I can remember is that their cappuccino was tepid at best.

Ahh, yeah I always forget about Urth because it’s so well known already, and because it’s always such a pain to get to their locations for me. But yeah, they have a good coffee & espresso as well, good spot.
You weren’t happy with Luxxe? It’s been a few years since I’ve been there, and I’ve never ordered a milk drink there so I can’t comment on that, but they have one of the best espressos I’ve tried.
