You always hear about holiday travel being a disaster, but, at least until this winter, I’d always been lucky. However, after delays, American Airlines canceling one of my tickets in error right before final boarding, and other travel chaos, I found myself spending Christmas eve in Washington, D.C.
So, naturally, I found the closest cafe I could get to. That turned out to be Peregrine Espresso’s Mid City location. I made it right before they closed for Christmas Eve, and the good things I’d heard were proven by the delicious Counter Culture roasted Ethiopia Olke Birre pour over I had. Nice staff, good vibes, and good coffee. What more can you ask for?
If you’re in town for longer than I was, you should check out the Indie Coffee Passport, a $20 ticket that gets you a coffee at 17 of D.C.’s indie coffee shops.
Anyways, hope your new year is off to a great start – check out the photos of Peregrine below!

Just read the article you have shared. As a coffee lover, I love visiting the different coffee shops to taste different kinds of coffee. Though I use french press coffee maker to brew my coffee. But even then will visit your cafe very soon with my friends. I am eagerly waiting to taste qualia coffee and try it at home.
